![]() Using an illustration of a pretty red tulip and a fun, script like font, these wedding invitations are really fresh. They’d be perfect for a spring wedding, especially if tulips are the flower of choice! The inspiration for this invitation came from a bunch of lovely red, spring tulips that my friend bought me. They had only just opened and I thought the shape of the flower looked really pretty, so I drew it. I then worked with it in Paint.net to make it look more like a 'print' than a drawing. I really like its simplicity and bold colours. With this invitation you literally amend the wording and print it out on your inkjet printer at home. The template comes in two sizes for folded card blanks: 4" x 6" (folded size) and A6 (folded size). This wedding invitation looks better on ‘smooth’ white card blanks. The smoothness of the paper ensures a better finish and the illustration looks sharper. Try to use a heavy weight card if possible – the maximum that will go through your printer. For the cheapest solution, print these on your home computer. If you don’t want to use all your ink up, then print out one on normal paper, and get a copy shop to print out or copy the invites on your chosen card. They’ll also be able to trim them to size (if necessary) and give a professional finish (at a cost though, so check the price). If you don’t know how to add a font to your computer, then follow these instructions (for Windows users only). These affordable wedding invitations have been created in Microsoft Word 97-2003, so you’ll need this to read and amend the invite. With these affordable wedding invitations, you’ll need to create an insert to inside. You can print out free insert templates from Wedding Invitation Ideas. I’d recommend choosing one of the modern styles. Sign up now to receive your username and password. (You'll receive a link to these immediately after confirming your subscription...) |
