Autumn Wedding Invitation With Handmade Paper
“Autumnal colours, skeletal leaves and natural handmade paper make this autumn wedding invitation gorgeous!”
For an autumnal wedding invitation, there are plenty of pretty things you can use. Pressed flowers, natural handmade papers and seasonal colours are just some of the ways you can create pretty invites. These invites use skeletal leaves which have been colour coordinated with handmade paper, card and vellum for a pink theme. Natural handmade paper is perfect for an autumn wedding invitation. It's delicate and pretty so looks great. The skeletal leaves really finish off this invite and make it look just stunning. I've used a pink theme, but you can get natural handmade paper and skeletal leaves in various colours, so you'll easily be able to match it to your theme. The other great thing is handmade paper comes in big sheets, so it's very cost effective!

Before you start your autumn wedding invitation! For the text on the vellum insert, I’ve used a special font called ASL Script, which is free for personal use. You’ll need to download it from www.freefonts.com. If you don’t know how to do this, then follow these instructions for adding a font to your computer (for windows users only). If you don’t do this, then you won’t be able to see the text on your computer. You can download the A5 template for this insert here, but you'll need the username and password that you get when you subscribe to the newsletter. You can subscribe below. The insert is an A4 sheet with two inserts on it, created in MS Word. They’re sized slightly smaller than A5, so sit well on or inside an A5 wedding invitation (finished size). You will need to amend the text so that it corresponds to the details of your wedding. Once printed out, you’ll need to cut it to size following the trim lines.
Tips: • Print out the text onto the vellum on a fast or draft setting. It that's not strong enough, then use the medium or standard setting. Bear in mind it will take longer to dry, so make sure you remove each sheet from the printer before the next one comes through, otherwise your text will smudge! • You can easily change the size to be 5x7 instead of A5, whichever is easier for you • Try buying an economy or bumper pack of card blanks and envelopes. You can then cut these in half to make the one page card!
