Butterfly Wedding Invitations
"These butterfly wedding invitations are perfect for a summer wedding"A butterfly theme give a real summer feel to any wedding and these butterfly invites are great for quick and easy do it yourself wedding invitations. They’re one of the simplest invitations to create on this site and yet, one of my favourites.
Butterfly designs are really popular this season, especially in pinks and blues. This particular style is designed to be a one page card with a vellum overlay secured with a colour co-ordinated ribbon. The templates come in two sizes: 8cm x 19.7cm or 3" x 8"
To Make This Butterfly Wedding Invitation: Layout of card

Before you start! I would strongly recommend doing a trial run to find what card and vellum you prefer. Once you’ve found a paper and card that you like for these butterfly wedding invitations, buy enough for all your invites (plus a few more for mistakes). Get the paper and card cut to size by a copy shop – this will give you a professional finish and save you a lot of time. Warning! These butterfly wedding invitations use a special font called ASL Script, which is free for personal use. You’ll need to download it from here. If you don’t know how to do this, then follow these instructions for adding a font to your computer (for Windows users only). If you don’t do this, then you won’t be able to see the text on your computer. Each printable invitation comes in a Microsoft Word document. You’ll need to amend the wording to reflect your own wedding and then print them out on your chosen, pre-cut paper. Tips: • Do a trial run to find the card and vellum paper you like • Try buying an economy pack of cards and envelopes. You can then cut these in half to make the one page card! • Get the card cut to size by a professional • Print out each page separately • Print out the invite section using the high quality setting on your printer • Print out the vellum section using the draft or fast setting on your printer
