Do It Yourself Wedding Invitations With Flowers

These wedding invitations couldn’t be simpler. Made from a patterned card and embellished with beads and glitter fabric paint, you’ll make each one in less than 10 minutes!

There are plenty of different background papers around, especially with the current craze for scrapbooking. Papers change each season, but you’ll always find floral designs available in the latest colour trends. My favourite papers are made by Papermania, who do a fabulous range of background papers.

I’d recommend choosing a design that has quite a small pattern, so your guests will easily see three or four flowers at least. Many of the designs are quite large, so bear this in mind when you choose your paper. Remember, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to find this exact paper, so don’t be afraid be experiment with different papers.

All I’ve done with this paper is take silver beads and attach them with some strong clear glue. I’ve then added a bit of extra sparkle and interest by dabbing glitter fabric paint around some of the petals of the flowers.

The best thing to do would be experiment with the paper you choose, until you find a design you like. In fact, this wedding invitation is so easy, there’s no need for instructions. Simply cut your background paper to size and then secure it to your card blank with some roller glue.
