Golden Coloured Fall Wedding Invitations
“Create rich autumn colours for your fall wedding invitations with golden leaves and subtle yellows and oranges”
For simple fall wedding invitations, you can mix soft autumn hues of gold, yellow and orange to create an autumnal feel. This invite uses layers of paper and vellum alongside skeletal leaves making them perfect for a fall wedding. You can get skeletal leaves in all sorts of colours including purples, pinks, reds, browns, silvers and glitter effects, so you don't just have to stick with these yellow and gold hues. You can match them to your wedding theme easily, simply by changing the colour of the leaves and paper. I really like these fall wedding invitations as they create a nice texture which is different to standard printed wedding invitations, and since you made them yourself, there is a personal, unique twist to them too. Feel free to change the colours, the angles of the leaves or thenumber of the leaves. The design can be altered to fit exactly what you want, so experiment and have fun.

Before you start! For the text on the vellum insert, I’ve used a special font called ASL Script, which is free for personal use. You’ll need to download it from www.freefonts.com. If you don’t know how to do this, then follow these instructions for adding a font to your computer (for windows users only). If you don’t do this, then you won’t be able to see the text on your computer. You can download the A5 template for this insert here, but you'll need the username and password that you get when you subscribe to the newsletter. You can subscribe below. The insert is an A4 sheet with two inserts on it, created in MS Word.
They’re sized slightly smaller than A5, so sit well on or insidean A5 wedding invitation (finished size). You will need to amend the text so that it corresponds to the details of your wedding. Once printed out, you’ll need to cut it to size following the trim lines.
Tips: • Print out the text onto the vellum on a fast or draft setting. It that's not strong enough, then use the medium or standard setting. Bear in mind it will take longer to dry, so make sure you remove each sheet from the printer before the next one comes through, otherwise your text will smudge! • You can easily change the size of the invite to be 5x7instead of A5, whichever is easier for you • Try buying an economy or bumper pack of card blanks andenvelopes. You can then cut these in half to make the one page card!
