![]() Using some simple fonts, you can create really stunning monogram wedding invitations and these invites are just that. Special initial fonts are perfect for monograms, making creating your own wedding invitations simple and easy. The invitation has been created in MS Word, so you can easily print it out at home or work. I've printed this example out on cream card stock as I think it makes it look more traditional. You can however, print it out on any coloured card stock, so feel free to try out different colours. To finish off this invitation, you could add some luxurious organza or sumptuous satin ribbon for that extra something, or simply leave it as it is for a more traditional look. Level of ease: Really easy Cost: Around £20 ($30) for 50 invitations What you’ll need: - Card cut to size - Inkjet printer (or use a copy shop) - Ribbon (optional) With this invitation you literally amend the wording and print it out on your inkjet printer at home. The template comes in A5 (14.8cm x 21.0cm) or 5 1/2 x 8 inches and there's a matching thank you card too. I’d recommend printing out on ‘smooth’ card as this will give the best finish. Try to use a heavy weight card if possible, ideally the maximum that will go through your printer. For the cheapest solution, print these on your home computer. If you don’t want to use all your ink up, then print out one on good quality paper and get a copy shop to print out or copy the invites on to your chosen card. They’ll also be able to trim them to size (if necessary) and give a professional finish (at a cost though). The monogram at the top is a special font called Mosaic Initials, so you'll need to download it. If you don't, you won't be able to see it! You can download it for FREE from Dafont.com. If you don’t know how to add a font to your computer, then follow these instructions (for Windows users only). These monogram wedding invitations have been created in Microsoft Word 97-2003, so you’ll need this package to read and amend the invite. There's no need for a separate insert with these wedding invitations. All the information is contained in the main body of text, however, you could include maps, details about accommodation and transport in the envelope with the invite too.
