![]() The font has been chosen because it creates a modern and open feel and I like the way it works with the knot illustration. This is a simple wedding invitation for a bride having a relaxed, simple wedding. The wedding invitation is fully customisable so you can change the colours easily to match your wedding theme. Blues, greys and greens would work particular well with a nautical wedding theme. This invitation is a free template that comes in MS Word, so you can easily print it out at home or work. I've printed this example out on bright white card stock for a more crisp finish. You can however, print it out on any coloured card stock, so feel free to try out different colours – pale blues or greens would work really well. Level of ease: Really easy Cost: Around £20 ($30) for 50 invitations What you’ll need: - Card cut to size - Inkjet printer (or use a copy shop) - Ribbon (optional) With this nautical wedding invitation you literally amend the wording and print it out. It's as simple as that. The template comes in A5 (14.8cm x 21.0cm) size or 5 1/2 x 8 inches and there's a matching thank you card too. I’d recommend printing it out on ‘smooth’ card as this will give the best finish. Try to use a heavy weight card if possible, ideally the maximum that will go through your printer. For the cheapest solution, print these on your home computer. If you don’t want to use all your ink up, then print out one on good quality paper and get a copy shop to print out or copy the invites on to your chosen card. They’ll also be able to trim them to size (if necessary) and give a professional finish (at a cost though). The knot illustration is a dingbat, which behaves like a special font. In order to see this when you download the template, you'll need to download it. The dingbat is called GE Nautica Dingbat. It's from Urban Fonts and is free for your personal use. If you don’t know how to add a font to your computer, then follow these instructions (for Windows users only). Dingbats can be added in exactly the same way as a font. This nautical wedding invitation has been created in Microsoft Word 97-2003, so you’ll need this package to read and amend the invite. There's no need for a separate insert with these wedding invitations. All the information is contained in the main body of text, however, you could include maps, details about accommodation and transport in the envelope with the invite too.
