Make Your Printable
Wedding Invitations Unique

If you're using printable wedding invitations you may find that you want them to stand out from the rest. By adding embellishments after they're printed, you can really give a unique look to your wedding stationery.

Embellishments come in all shapes and sizes and there will something to suit what you want. Take a walk around any bead shop and you'll be inspired. There are plenty of ideas and items you can add for a bit of difference.

Sequins can add a bit of a shimmer

A few carefully placed sequins can add a bit of drama to your invites as well. Glue them down with a strong clear glue (not PVA) so they don't come off in the mail. You could create small flower heads or use them individually to draw attention to particular points of your invite. Generally, less is more, so don't go mad.

Beads are a simple addition to a home printed wedding invitation

Beads for cards

Beads come in all shapes, sizes and colours and there are some very designs out there that can easily add greater interest or depth to your printable wedding invitations. Try gluing or even sewing the beads on to the front of the card to secure them. Go sparingly though as you don't want to over do it!

Jewels add a bit of sparkle

Jewels for cards

Jewels come in all shapes and sizes and a couple of little sparkly jewels will really enhance your printable wedding invitations. They’re great as an accent and create a more 3D effect to your cards. They’re also cheap, come ready with a sticky and in a variety of colours, so you’re sure to match your wedding theme.

Ribbons add a stylish touch

Ribbons

If your printed wedding invitation is finished and it still doesn’t quite hit the mark, why not try finishing it off with a satin ribbon. You could wrap it around the narrow width of the invitation and tie a bow, wrap it inside the length of the invitation so it sits in the crease or you could use a sheet of vellum, wrap the invite in the vellum and then wrap the ribbon around the vellum.

Satin ribbon comes in all different colours and widths, so depending on whether you just want a little touch of ribbon or a lavishly luxurious effect, there’s a ribbon for you.

Stickers can finish off your invite

Depending on the design you’ve created or chosen, a well placed sticker can finish off your invite. Stickers come in a variety of different designs and styles. Some are raised so they look embossed, others are flat and look almost printed on. So if you’re printable wedding invitation needs a bit more pizzazz, then why not consider a sticker?
