These simple wedding invitations have been created with ease in mind. Not only is the design classically simple with a damask illustration and a pretty satin knot at the top, printing them at home couldn't be easier either.

The damask design has been handcrafted and is exclusive to Wedding Invitation Ideas.

The layout is clean and open with emphasis given to the bride and groom’s names. The invite is finished off with a small satin ribbon in a knot at the top of the invite.

What you'll need:

• White card cut to the size of your chosen template
• 20cm black satin ribbon (8mm wide)
• Home printer
• Hole punch

This invitation has been specifically designed for a ‘tall’ card. The template comes in two sizes, 3” x 8” and 8cm x 19.8cm. Just choose your size below.

I’d recommend printing out on ‘smooth’ white card as this will give the best finish. You can either buy sheet card and get it cut to size or buy ‘tall’ card blanks and cut them in half.

With this invite, you literally amend the details to suit your wedding and print it out. Finish it off by cutting the punching a hole in the middle at the top and tying the ribbon around it in a knot.

The font used on these invitations is Georgia and should be on your computer already.

These wedding invitations have been created in Microsoft Word 97-2003, so you’ll need this to read and amend the invite.

With these simple wedding invitations, there’s no need for a separate insert. All the information about the wedding is printed directly on to the card. You may want to put additional information (i.e. about the venue, parking, accommodation, etc) in the envelope with the invite.

Download and make your simple wedding invitations now

1. To download your invitation, choose the size, then simply download and save it to your desktop
2. Amend the wording to match your wedding details
3. Cut your card to the size of your chosen template
4. Do a couple of trial runs on the draft setting to make sure that it looks ok
5. Print out the invites at the 'high' setting and remove each one from the printer to dry and prevent smudging
6. Next, punch a hole in the middle of the insert about 1cm from the top. To ensure your hole is in the centre of the invite, simple divide the width of the insert in half and mark that point with a pencil
7. Cut the ribbon to length and tie it in a simple knot. Move the knot to the back of the invitation and thread through the two long ends. You can do this by poking them through with a match stick or the end of pair of scissors
8. Cut the ends of the ribbon diagonally to give a nice finish
