Snowflake Wedding Invitation"These falling snowflakes look really pretty with the added bit of glitter."A snowflake wedding invitation is perfect for a winter wedding theme and the cool blues, falling flakes and the touch of glitter really finish off these invites. Best of all, the template is free to print out so all you need to do is download it, amend it, print it and add the glitter. ![]() Customise your snowflake wedding invitationThese wedding invitations are easily customisable too. On the example shown, I've added a bit of glitter using a glue pen and some fine silver glitter. A glue pen is really handy as it allows you to be really precise about where the glue goes. It's perfect for fine lines on cards and invitations. You could also add some ribbon or silver cord to make it look more individual, or leave it as it is for a simple invitation. What you'll need:
With this invitation you literally amend the wording and print it out on your inkjet printer at home. The template comes in A5 (14.8cm x 21.0cm) or 5 1/2 x 8 inches and there's a matching thank you card too. I’d recommend printing out on ‘smooth’ card as this will give the best finish. Try to use a heavy weight card if possible, ideally the maximum that will go through your printer. For the cheapest solution, print these on your home computer. If you don’t want to use all your ink up, then print out one on good quality paper and get a copy shop to print out or copy the invites on to your chosen card. They’ll also be able to trim them to size (if necessary) and give a professional finish (at a cost though). Warning! To create this invitation, I've used some special fonts. The text font is Gabrielle which is not available on your home computer. So, to edit the text (and see it when you open the document), you'll need to download it. You can download it for FREE from Dafont.com. The snowflake illustration is a dingbat, which behaves just like a special font. You'll also need to download it in order to see and print the invitation out. The dingbat is called WW Flakes and is of course free for your personal use too. If you don’t know how to add a font to your computer, then follow these instructions (for Windows users only). Dingbats can be added in exactly the same way as a font. These wedding invitations have been created in Microsoft Word 97-2003, so you’ll need this package to read and amend the invite. There's no need for a separate insert with these wedding invitations. All the information is contained in the main body of text, however, you could include maps, details about accommodation and transport in the envelope with the invite too.

With the snowflake dingbat font now on your computer, you can use it to create other elements of your stationery. Why not create matching place cards, menus and orders of service with this fun little illustration to complete your winter wedding theme? Don't forget add a bit of glitter for that extra sparkle!
