Western Wedding Invitations

"Yeehaw! Create some fun with these
western wedding invitations!"

Themed weddings are hugely popular and none more so than western style weddings. To go with your western wedding, these fun western wedding invitations will be perfect. They're printable, can be altered to your exact wording and best of all they're free.

The font on these invitations is really fun, giving them a real wild-west look and feel. Coupled with the little cowboy illustration, this makes the perfect invite for your western wedding.

I’ve printed it out on a cream card, although you could use any colour you like to match your theme. The fonts are browns, but are changeable in the template.

This invite is created in Microsoft Word, so all you need to do is change the wording and print it out. Simple! Your only cost is the card and ink.

Level of ease: Really easy
Cost: Around £15 ($25) for 50 invitations

What you’ll need:
- Cream card cut to size
- Inkjet printer (or use a copy shop)

With this invitation you literally amend the wording and print it out on your inkjet printer at home. The template comes in A5 (14.8cm x 21.0cm) or 5 1/2 x 8 inches and there's a matching thank you card too.

I’d recommend printing it out on ‘smooth’ card as this will give the best finish. You could also try pale brown or another colour that matches your theme. Try to use a heavy weight card if possible, ideally the maximum that will go through your printer.

For the cheapest solution, print these on your home computer. If you don’t want to use all your ink up, then print out one on normal paper and get a copy shop to print out or copy the invites on to your chosen card. They’ll also be able to trim them to size (if necessary) and give a professional finish (at a cost though).

Warning!
In order to create this invitation, I've used a couple of special fonts. The text font is Oklahoma which is not usually available on your home computer. So, in order to see the text and be able to edit it, you'll need to download it. You can download it for FREE from Dafont.com.

The illustration is a dingbat, which behaves like a special font. Like the font above, you'll need to download it in order to see and print the invitation out. The dingbat is called Yeehaw and is of course free for your personal use.

If you don’t know how to add a font to your computer, then follow these instructions (for Windows users only). Dingbats can be added in exactly the same way as a font.

These wedding invitations have been created in Microsoft Word 97-2003, so you’ll need this package to read and amend the invite.

There's no need for a separate insert with these western wedding invitations. All the information is contained on the front of the invitation however, you may want to include maps, details about accommodation and transport in the envelope with the invite too.
